Failte, Welcome Welcome to my tribute to the fair isle, that Emerald in the Atlantic. Tis truth, I speak of Erin, or as the modern folk call it, . Me name is Donall MacRaith and I am but one of the "little people", born to many turnings of the wheel to remember. With me sire being a Tuatha De Danann and me mother a Fir Bolg, tis no wonder I have grown to be so smart and such a handsome fella. Ah, those were the days. Such were the times when I could walk the width and breathe of dear ol' Erin without runnin into any "modern" folk. Yea, that was a glorious time, but tis no more.
Now meself and me faithful Albenon stay shifted between the "otherworld" and this, so as not to be found by the "modern" folk and suffer the same fate as so many of our brothers and sisters. Albenon, you ask, "Who is Albenon?" Why Albenon, or "Albe" as she prefers to be called is a Unicorn and me best friend. Now Albe was born a Unicorn but as with all of the creatures of that bygone era , meself included, she is a shape shifter. While Albe and I prefer our "birth" shapes, we can actually be anyone or any thing we can observe or imagine. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone, but when we get a wee bit tired of the otherworld, we shapeshift and walk among the "modern" folk. So if you notice this really handsome red headed fella walking down the street with a gorgeous, drop dead lady with long silver hair, don't blink, we may disappear.
Ah, I could prattle on and on. When you've been around for over five centuries, you can spend days telling stories and running off at the lip but you don't want to hear all that now, do ya? You came here to learn bout Ireland and all of it's wonders and as soon as I get back from me little vacation, around June 5th, I'll tell ya all about it. Ireland that is or "if you're really interested" maybe me vacation too.
